It was just one of those times where necessity became the mother of invention. I was rewiring the brake lights on my old hunting Jeep. I needed to grab one wire and hold it while I spliced another to it—all through a measly 2” access hole.
Luckily I had a pair of long nose pliers, but they weren’t the locking variety, so I ended up wrapping a rubber band around the handle and finishing the job that way. Not pretty, but it gave me the inspiration for my Long Lockerz Long Nose Locking Pliers.
